Loki goes Crow? Maaaaybeee and a brief history of The Crow on screen

So news broke yesterday about Tom Hiddleston possibly taking on the role of Eric Draven in the long talked about and always road blocked Crow remake.  Hiddleston even did his own make up test which he submitted (and I WANT TO SEE IT NOW K THANKS.)

The casting has yet to be confirmed.  Previously the big name banded about was Bradley Cooper (with artwork you can see below for character ideas.)

The film at one time had (a while ago) Mark Wahlberg and even a rumored Channing Tatum (god help us all.)  But Hiddleston sounds like it may actually happen.

In reality yours truly was a massive Crow groupie.  I loved loved loved the original film and bawled like a lunatic when during filming Brandon Lee was tragically killed.  He was Eric Draven.  It was a beautiful perfect movie with amazing music and visuals that still hold up to this day.  I truly don’t think they need  a remake but you know its going to happen.

But here’s the thing.  We’ve already had Lee’s Draven remade with the TV series “Crow: Stairway to Heaven” Read more

Who is Chris Lee in Dark Shadows?

Well I have your answer:

Christopher Lee’s character name is listed as Bill Malloy on the recently updated IMDB page.

Malloy on the series was the manager of the Collins family’s fishing fleet.  He was an old sailor with ties to Burke Devlin and Sam Evans.  He meets a bad end and comes back as a ghost.

So far no word yet on who the original cast is playing (I’m still hoping for salty old sea dog Frid.)

God words can’t describe how excited I am for this.

Damn…this will be hot. Bardem is Bond’s Bad Guy

That sound you heard was the collective fluttering hearts of a lot of women and quite a few guys as Javier Bardem confirmed he’s the new bad guy to go up against Daniel Craig as James Bond in the next Bond movie.

EW has the scoop here along with video of the interview where Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s long lost brother confirms the news.

Seriously, what the hell…

Tyler Durden’s Alter Ego Vs Hawkeye

Translated that means that Jeremy Renner’s Jason Bourne will be taking on Edward Norton’s villain in the rebourne (get it..) Bourne franchise.

Matt Damon’s trilogy were some of the best action flicks of the last few years and with the powerhouses they just cast it looks like these new films shouldn’t disappoint.  Norton made a name for himself by playing  a villain in the Richard Gere starrer Primal Fear (stealing the movie) and has goine on to play some other notables.  And Renner is just hot as fire right now.

Still of Edward Norton in The Illusionist

HOT DWARF!!! HOT DWARF!!!

Oh Aidan Turner, you could play an Orc and still be smoking.

This is Fili and Kili from the Hobbit.  And as you can see, the dwarves are badass on every level.  This was revealed on MSN today.  Character pics are being released pretty steadily.

Thanks to Furious Fanboys for the heads up

Burton wants me to stroke out

DARK SHADOWS CASTING NEWS!

Between Alice Cooper and Jonathan Frid, what more could turn Dark Shadows into what will be the horror event of the year?  (and my possible implosion in a theater?)

SIR COUNT DRACULA CHRISTOPHER FREAKNIG LEE.

Barnabas and Dracula.  Yes.  Thank you.  I’ll go hand Tim Burton my Soul now.

Steve Niles and I see wake the dead people

Haley Joel Osment is old enough to be in college. Think about that for a moment as you feel the weight of your years crashing down on you.

The cute kid with the ghost problem is grown up. And now he’s going to deal with Dead people of a different sort as he tries to bring them back to life in Wake the Dead as a modern day Victor Frankenstein.

Variety released the story just now after creator Steve Niles went on Twitter asking people to guess who had been cast as the lead.

Based off the comic book created by Niles, this promises to be a great take on the Frankenstein mythos.

He still looks the same!!! I don’t! :(

Locke is back…sort of

Terry O’Quinn is back in Hawaii, as in 5-0.

The Emmy winner is joining the cast of Hawaii 5-0 alongside Alex O’Loughlin and fellow genre and Lost vet Daniel Dae Kim according to Entertainment Weekly.

This may be the move the show needs to stir some interest as its reportedly not showing up at Comicon next month and hasn’t been talked about of late. It seems CBS is plundering the sci-fi pool for actors to add to its show.

How’s this get better: Neeson back w/Batman

Liam Neeson is returning as Ra’s al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises

What this means to the number of villains in the already packed movie is anyones guess. But I’m not complaining. Neeson was great in the first film and I trust Chris Nolan. Plus…Lazarus Pits!!!!!

Liam Neeson

Elf ahoy!!

Peter Jackson announced via his Facebook page Orlando Bloom is donning the pointy ears of Legolas once more for The Hobbit.

Now if we could just get David Tennant to play his dad.

I still love you tall, thin, and blonde. To hell with the haters.
