Thanks to Collider we have a much bigger and pretty version of that little pic someone posted earlier.   I think this is in the schoolroom at Collinwood, but I could be wrong.  Also I think he looks awesome.  To heck with the haters.  He’s supposed to look like a vampire and I think he’s channeling some Nosferatu with this.  And I’m more than okay with that.  I just want my effing trailer now please.

We’re taking what we get at this point as the studio is not really releasing much.  Here’s a small pic of Depp looking WAY pale and long clawed.  Not sure where this is from but if you know the source send it my way and I’ll credit:

Shock till you drop and other websites have started sporting this new image of Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer together in the film.  Now I’m going to guess that this is during modern time (as much as modern as you call the 70s in the film) as Johnny is already vamped and there may be one of those staples of Dark Shadows, a costume party where everyone dresses up like their ancestors.

if you believe Fandango there will be a version of the new Burton film hitting IMAX screens.  It’s not 3D but apparently Barnadepp will be coming at you XL size.

Johnny Depp is doing Rum Diary duty right now, but everyone is asking about Dark Shadows. Allow me to sigh happily as he talks about how much he loves Dracula in this clip about why Barnabas looks like he does in the new film. And the way he says the word “Nosferatu.” …thud..

Well I have your answer:

Christopher Lee’s character name is listed as Bill Malloy on the recently updated IMDB page.

Malloy on the series was the manager of the Collins family’s fishing fleet.  He was an old sailor with ties to Burke Devlin and Sam Evans.  He meets a bad end and comes back as a ghost.

So far no word yet on who the original cast is playing (I’m still hoping for salty old sea dog Frid.)

Empire Online has exclusive pics from the set of Dark Shadows.  And we get to see Barnadepp with some blood on him (and claws and bangs…BANGS)

Below you will see the first REALLY good shot of Johnny going full frontal Frid.  I didn’t think the love I have for the man could grow, but he keeps proving me wrong.  

I have a feeling someone just got their heart ripped out.  He’s already stolen my soul…he might as well do that too me too.

Notice that Helena Bonham Carter IS Grayson Hall.  Her hair is freaking amazing.  Also, Eva Green has blonde hair.  This pleases me.  And my god, Johnny Lee Miller doesn’t even look like Johnny Lee Miller.  He IS Roger Collins.  BANGS.  Did I mention BANGS?  CAUSE BANGS!!!

For those that were concerned upon the pap photos that sprung up recently I hope this shot shows just how amazing this is going to be.  Johnny is channeling Jonathan Frid just like he said he would.  May 2012 can’t come soon enough.

YES !  He’s been released from the confines of his coffin.

Celebrity-Gossip.net has what is obvious a bunch of no-no telephoto pics of Johnny Depp strolling along the beach with Bella Heathcote as Victoria Winters.

Yes, he’s very very pale.  Now a lot of people are freaking out about that, and it is shocking to see at first.  But HE’S A VAMPIRE.  Also, he’s been stuck in a coffin for nearly 200 years.  On top of that I think they’ve got him wearing UV blocking sun screen as he is in fact outside walking around in very old school sun glasses (his suit is old school too, look at the flared bottoms..hehehe.)

For those who don’t want a bit of spoiler (too late if you’ve seen these as he’s obviously a vampire walking around outside in the daytime) Barnabas is cured (at least temporarily) by Julia Hoffman during the series and also during House of Dark Shadows (the feature film) where a scene very similar to this one takes place.

Jesus he looks great to me.  I’m excited.  There’s the cane, the caped coat, and I see BANGS!!  I also love the costumes here.  They look great.  I want more pics and I want to see more of the sets and costumes being used.
