You all want to play with Jack.

Thanks to Idle Hands we get a gander at the new Disney game “Disney Infinity” which is what happens when Skylanders have sex with the cartridge of Kingdom Hearts.

This looks pretty phenomenal and bonus it has not only a Pirates of the Caribbean set but an Incredibles set as well.  It looks great and is pretty much on par with how Skylanders has manage to snag the interest of not only kids, but adults as well.

And yes, Jack Sparrow in my pocket has appeal, as does Barbossa..

Sony going to change the face of 2nd hand game buying?

I’m not sure if this will come to pass or not, but it sounds like it very well may be true.

IGN is reporting that Sony has asked for a patent on new tech that will allow them to make it impossible for there to be a 2nd hand or trade in future for their game line.  Basically it will install tech in the game discs that will only allow you to play the game on a single system.  That means you probably can’t take your game over to a buddies house or loan it out to anyone to play.  How will this affect rentals?  Who knows…

Here’s the article

Personally I think this is the worst possible move the company could make.  Sony games for the PS3 are already expensive.  They are also the company who made it impossible to retro play games for the PS2 on their PS3 system after the first string of the console was released.  That already angered a lot of gamers and customers.  This, if it is as bad as it sounds will be a knife to their business.

The PSVita, while a neat handheld, isn’t the breakout powerhouse that Sony hoped.  Its competing in iPad world and that’s hard to battle, especially when the Vita requires you to buy a mini disc for memory on top of an already spendy base price for the system itself.  On top of that the games are averaging around 30 bucks a pop.

Dishonored – Sort of Willard the game…sort of.

Dishonored is set to be an amazing video game for PC and console gamers.  Set in the industrial city of Dunwall, Dishonored follows Corvo Atano, a legendary bodyguard to the Empress who is framed for her murder and forced to become an infamous assassin to seek revenge on those who conspired against him. Atano is aided in his quest by the Outsider, a powerful being who imbues him with magical abilities.

It’s got a stellar voice cast with Brad Dourif, Chloe Moretz, Susan Sarandon, and Carrie Fisher all on board.  It’s also got some truly messed up ways of killing people as the trailer below will show you, many of which can be done with rats.

I’m not sure why this amuses me so much, but it does.  I have issues, that’s not a surprise.  In any case, the game looks to be spectacular and will be hitting shelves this October.  You can check out more here via the games official website.

Injustice: Pretty Batman is Pretty

Injustice:  God’s Among Us looks beautiful.  It also looks like a pure DC fighting game.  Grundy looks sweet and Superman needs to just always be burning things up with heat vision…cause (no pun intended) its hot.

Lego Lord (of the rings)

Lord of Rings is hitting Lego hard. Just in time for the massive Hobbit frenzy, I’ve already seen LOTR sets hitting shelves at Walmart. Here’s some footage from the soon to be released Lego game of Fellowship. And yes, it’s as cute as you can imagine it would be.

Holy Belmont!

This is Geek Dedication right here.  The first Castlevania redone via Minecraft.  Thanks to Gammasquad for the heads up on this.  I loves me some Castlevania in any form.

Dragon Age Redemption: Now with more Codex

AT LAST!  The first episode of the Dragon Age inspired web series is up for your viewing pleasure.

The first episode stars Doug Jones (as the baddie mage) and Felicia Day (as the rougish elf.)  This looks to be a fun series.

May be the coolest thing ever….

I need a moment…and a towel. I’m overwhelmed… This is an add on for Call of Duty Black Ops that will be released at some point. And I….I just don’t know what to do when Freddy, Buffy, Machete, and Rooker come together to fight zombies.

Freddy vs Jason vs…Kitana?

Dread Central is reporting that yes, we may see Freddy and Jason going toe to toe with the likes of Johnny Cage.

If this happens this Halloween as bonus downloadable content for the new Mortal Kombat game the dreams of many a horror fangirl and boy will come true.  Who’s the king of finger knives Baraka?  You really think you can out cut Freddy?

Words can’t describe the joy this would cause me to feel.
