BunnySlippers.com Review and Giveaway Announcement!

A package came for me this weekend that caused much glee in the Moore residence.  BunnySlippers.com sent me a gorgeous pair of slippers to review.  Can I tell you how much I love reviewing stuff?  I love it.  On top of that, I love slippers.  LOVE slippers.  I am all about the creature comforts.  The package came lickety split after I chose the kind I wanted.  Which took me a long time.

Now, BunnySlippers.com has an AMAZING array of slippers.  All manner of animal and children styles and other amazing things… but tons of amazing novelty slippers.  Go look!  I will wait.  No seriously… Okay, if you are too lazy to click the link, I’m going to have to tease you.  Don’t think that I don’t know what you guys like.

Yes. Zombie Slippers. Can I tell you how much Jessica Dwyer wants these?

Now, I’m not (say it all together) the horror Fangirl.  So I did not get Zombie Slippers.  No,  I got… wait for it…

Freudian Slippers.

That’s right!  They are comfy slippers AND a nerdy pun!  Who did you think you were dealing with, an amateur?

Ironically, they have really awesome rubber soles, so you don’t actually slip in them!

Now, that picture is good, but it doesn’t really convey the sheer fluffiness of these slippers.  They are softie and comfie and amazing.  The soles are super plushy, so that even a fuller figured woman like myself still feels supported.  To be honest, I am not wearing them at the moment, because I would have had to fight a cat.  My cat always picks out the softest thing in the room to lie on… generally it’s this super soft velvety body pillow… but since the slippers have come into the house, she has had her eye on them.

It probably didn’t help that I taunted her with the tongues.  Oh, didn’t I mention?  you can scoot your toes forward into the little red tongues and waggle them at people.  Whether you do it silly or provocatively is up to you, but you know what Freud would say. The best part of that novelty is that it does not compromise the warmth and coziness of the slippers.  And the tongues are fun to play with…

Rachel Action Shot!

Incidentally, it’s way hard to take a picture of your own feet but facing you… but I did because I love you all:

It later occurred to me that I could have just used editing tools and flipped the image upright. Not so bright sometimes.

So, I really enjoyed these smooshy foot warming slippers of love.   So much so that when the new Hobbit slippers come out,  the Moore Family will look like they come from Middle Earth.  Now, right now I’m told that the Star War Slippers is where it’s at.  I know a bunch of you love Star Wars with all your heart… so go take a peek at the styles.

Also, because I love you and so does BunnySlippers.com,  we’ve decided to do a little GIVEAWAY for you.  That’s right,  I know y’all love free stuffs.  So, next week we will be announcing how you can Enter To Win a pair of awesome slippers…  So keep an eye on this website, listen in to Fangirl Radio, keep an eye on the Bunny Blog,  or like BunnySlippers.com on Facebook for all the details, and the contest will start MONDAY.  So stay frosty, people… you really don’t want to miss a chance at winning a pair of amazing slippers!

Hobbit is literally literal.

This is far too funny for something so dorky.  But that’s what we look for in guys here at Fangirl.  Dorks who are funny.  They are our Kryptonite.  And so it

Peter Jackson is God. That is all.

HOT DWARF!!! HOT DWARF!!!

Oh Aidan Turner, you could play an Orc and still be smoking.

This is Fili and Kili from the Hobbit.  And as you can see, the dwarves are badass on every level.  This was revealed on MSN today.  Character pics are being released pretty steadily.

Thanks to Furious Fanboys for the heads up

Dwarf Sign! Behold !

Nori, Ori and Dori, played by Jed Brophy, Adam Brown and Mark Hadlow. New Line released the image today. Slowly but surely we are getting more views of the new characters. I can’t wait to see what they do with the elvish types since the look for the dwarves is great.

Cause WETA is awesome – The Hobbit Cast

If you click here you can go check out pics and an article by WETA covering the press conference with the cast of The Hobbit.

I’ve always said Richard Armitage could be Gerard Butlers twin, and now I’m proven right.  Also check out Aidan next to him sporting that manly dwarf beard.

Also…this.  God, AKA Peter Jackson smiled upon us today.  And this happened.

The Brits are taking over Middle Earth – Casting the Hobbit

The news about the Hobbit is rolling in.  Half a billion dollars is being spent on the film.  And after losing a game of hardball it sounds like New Zealand is not going to be the land of the elves any longer.

Now casting is being announced and oh my word…

Martin Freeman is offiically Bilbo Baggins the younger version (something that had been rumored for a bit.)  But now we know that The Guy is going to be playing a dwarf, Thorin Oakenshield will be played by Richard Armitage, he of the hot hot leather.  Being Human’s resident vampire, Aidan Turner will be playing a dwarf as well, Kili.

The rumors are now flying fast and furious about other casting choices.  Genre vets like David Tennant, Bill Nighy, and James Nesbitt are also up in the air (this sounds like the maybe list for Doctor Who all over again.)  But damn I’m excited.

Deadline has more details here.

Here are a few pics for your reference.  Middle Earth just got way sexier.  Eat your heart out Legolas.

Adian Turner

Martin Freeman

Richard Armitage

James Nesbitt

OMG, Doctor 7 to play in Hobbit?

According to GammaSquad and other sites Sylvester McCoy, Docto Who #7 is in talks to play in The Hobbit, but not Bilbo. He’d be a Wizard.

This is pretty awesome. I wasn’t the biggest 7 fan, but he grew on me after watching Dragonfire and Delta and the Bannermen. McCoy always seemed like a grouchy wizard when he was playing the Doctor…so that works for me.
