Lonely Island, you complete me.

The Lonely Island returns with YOLO and skewering the phrase that is the bane of our existence well.  Plus Adam Levine because he’s awesome and pretty (and I want to lick his hair.)

New album comes out this year!  WOOOOO.

Killers and Santa back again!

The Killers and in particular lead singer Brandon Flowers continue their battle with the evil killer Santa this year.  If you weren’t aware last World AIDS Day The Killers released a short Christmas record with the immortal “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” track.  It also had an equally awesome music video showing the murderous St. Nick pursuing Flowers.

This year a follow up single has been released with Santa still chasing Brandon and Company with a post apocalyptic bent.  You can purchase it on iTunes right now.  Here’s the video which is great….I particularly enjoy the candy can nunchucks.

Manson’s New CD Available in 2 hours and counting

Just so you know, this is probably the sexiest thing I’ve heard in a while.  And yes that’s Johnny Depp on guitar.  He rocks in so many ways as does Manson.  Enjoy.

Hi Ho White

Jack White has just been announced as the man scoring Johnny Depp and Disney’s latest love child, The Lone Ranger. Personally I think this has the potential to be the coolest soundtrack ever made. Coincidentally the announcement comes on the day of White’s new solo CD release which you can go nab right now on iTunes.

The Walt Disney Studios announced today at CinemaCon that Jack White will write, produce and perform the score for Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ highly anticipated The Lone Ranger. White, who today released his first solo album “Blunderbuss” to critical acclaim, is a musician, singer, songwriter and producer who first achieved notoriety as the lead guitarist and vocalist of the rock band The White Stripes and then as a member of The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.  The Lone Ranger will mark White’s first foray into feature film scoring. The Lone Ranger, directed by Gore Verbinski and featuring Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as John Reid, the Lone Ranger, is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption. The Lone Ranger is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and hits theaters May 31, 2013.

Awesome Funny and Talented Chicks Rule

Garfunkel and Oates (no not those Garfunkel and Oates) are two adorable and snarky and awesome gals who can beat you down with only the power of their wit and a smile.

And now they have a TV show.  Per Variety.com

Comics Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome have inked a development pact with HBO for a laffer based on the duo’s Garfunkel and Oates’ musical comedy act.

Micucci and Lindhome are writing the pilot with thesp-helmer Richie Keen (“Important Things With Demetri Martin”). There are also plans to develop a Web component, should the series be greenlit.

Micucci, Lindhome, Keen and Jonathan Stern of Principato-Young will exec produce.

Micucci and Lindhome have gained a following over the past few years through the extensive touring of their musical comedy act, which features folksy irreverent tunes and sketches. The duo was featured on Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch list last year.

Micucci already has ties to HBO through her recurring role on laffer “Bored to Death.” Lindhome will have a role on HBO’s upcoming Laura Dern starrer “Enlightened.”Lindhome also had a role in “Million Dollar Baby” and has logged guest shots on “The Big Bang Theory” and “Pushing Daisies,” among other shows. Micucci has been seen on “Scrubs” and “Rules of Engagement,” among others. Both are repped by Gersh.

Check out some of their tasty goodness.
