The World’s End: The Full Trailer

Edgar Wright is turning into Jesus.  But that is besides the point.

THE WORLD’S IN TRAILER IS AWESOME.  <— this is the point.  Also Simon Pegg Goth’d out fulfills too many of my fantasies to list here (bonus fighting killer robots) so I won’t even try.

Superman TV Spot #3 – YOU MADE ME ANGRY, YOU WON’T LIKE ME WHEN I’M ANGRY

Man of Steel is going to be taking on the Man of Iron soon.  And with this new clip it has a good chance at taking a swipe at Marvel’s golden (and red) boy.

In this quick 30 second spot we see more Zod, more Lois, and a very obviously not happy Superman.  While it isn’t the epic scream that Chris Reeve gave us, it still gives me goosebumps because I love it when my boys get mad.  Angst is tasty and super angst is even more so.

Yes, I know it’s a sickness.

And just because I love this and Christopher Reeve is FOREVER.

Hatchet Swings Back

Hatchet poster

Adam Green’s gloriously grisly throwback slasher series Hatchet returns for a third installment.  Victor Crowley’s ghost is back played by Kane Hodder, as is Danielle Harris and genre faves Zach Galligan, Derek Mears, and Caroline Williams.

HATCHET III is set to open in New York City’s Cinema Village and in Los Angeles at Laemmle Music Hall on June 14th. New cities have just been added – fans in Denver and Columbus will also be able to catch the film in theaters on June 14th. The film will also premiere on VOD and digital download on the same date. Opening week will feature special appearances by cast and crew, followed by Q&A’s at each location.

HATCHET III continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). As a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and carnage left behind from the first two films, Marybeth (Danielle Harris) hunts down the true secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.

So yes, this means Jason vs. Jason as you watch the trailer below.  Which is awesome.

Thor 2 Sneak Peek

Thanks to Hiddles Army for the heads up.  Here is a brief snippit of the Thor 2 trailer that was shown on E! news today:

Zod has some words for you and Supes

Behold the new  30 second announcement from Zod for all of earth and Superman.

Behind the Candelabra – First Trailer

I honestly think this movie looks amazing.  Michael Douglas looks like Liberace returned from the beyond and Matt Damon is perfect as Scott.   Soderbergh knows how to make beautiful and interesting movies and the subject matter is the stuff of legend.

The First Carrie Trailer – Shows pretty much everything

Carrie was moved from an early 2013 release to a later date this year.  Now we get the first full official trailer for the film which takes us to prom on October 18th.  I like the fact they moved the date so we actually have a horror movie that’s NOT Paranormal Activity or part 5 of something.

This looks great actually and while I don’t like the fact they show every major set piece in the trailer (it’s not like we don’t know what happens) Moretz and Moore look amazing.  I can’t wait.

Surprise Super Film of Summer?

Here is the red band trailer for “The End”, what may very well be the most meta film ever made.  I was aware of it but didn’t know just how stupid awesome it would be.  And now…now I must see this.  I feel the need to cuddle this movie in a bathtub filled with Twinkies cream while feeding it potato chips and making sweet love to it.

Yeah.

Drive’s Follow Up Looks Amazing

Only God Forgives sees director Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling reunite in the land of Bangkok.  Baby Goose plays a gangster and fighter who takes on the ex-police officer who killed his brother.  As you can imagine the trailer has that same unreal slick beauty that was part of Drive and some equally eerie music.

Wolverine(s) Trailer(s)

It looks like Marvel is taking a page from the DC book with The Wolverine.  The new trailers look a lot darker and gritter than the last film.  And the story line seems like an intriguing (and fairly fatalistic one) with Logan wanting to find a way to be mortal and finally die.  Hugh Jackman doesn’t seem to age, so maybe he is in fact Logan.

Here is the international and domestic trailers for your enjoyment.  I’m excited about this one and it should be a fun ride to get us through till the next X-Men flick.
