Wait…what?

The Hollywood Reporter:

CBS has kicked off what is expected to be a busy week by ordering two drama projects to pilot. The first, Elementary, is a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, with the detective now living in New York City. Robert Doherty will write and executive produce the CBS TV Studios project, with CBS vet Sarah Timberman (A Gifted Man, Unforgettable) and Carl Beverly on board as executive producers

Uh, I hate to break it to them, but they need to meet this guy:

Dracula 3D(oh!)

So this video is making the rounds and I have to agree its so insane I have to see it.  I’m not sure if that’s the vibe Argento and company were going for, but there it is.  Right alongside the giant mantis and David Bowie’s Labyrinth owl.

I also want to debate the term “Teaser.”  This thing manages to cram into 2 1/2 minutes nearly every plot point (plot is loosely used here) of the film, including what looks like the ending.

In terms of quality it reminds me of some of the older PC Games when they used real video for their cut scenes.  I have to say if this was a video game I’d totally buy it.  I mean damn, you’ve got everything in here.  Nudity, giant killer bugs, Dracula, a Hobo with a Shotgun (filled with silver bullets) I mean…what’s not to love?

Booboo goes bad.

This is probably one of the most twisted meshings of things I’ve ever seen done. And props to the guys behind Yogi as this is actually designed by the animators of the new Yogi Bear movie. Not kid friendly, but wow…nice job you guys.

Brad Pitt eat your heart out.

This is real. Honest to goodness real….

Eric Roberts, you magnificent bastard. Roger Corman, you magnificent bastard. I bow to the fruit of your collective loins.

It’s good to know the SyFy channel has just given up on trying to make serious films anymore. I’m waiting for the BearSharkMan movie.
